Newmarket
The Rowley Mile and Newmarket Heath are the two racecourses that are located in Newmarket and it is a famous breeding ground for thoroughbred horses. The railway station in Newmarket has been running since 1848 and it has trains that go to and from many cities and towns across the whole of the UK. The park and ride scheme was introduced at the same time that parking costs were and it works well to deter traffic from clogging up the streets. It runs from the Studlands Estate into the town. Property rentals also vary in situation from the centre of the action out to the suburbs.
Newmarket is referred to as the birthplace of British horse racing and as such the whole town revolves around the sport from local pubs to restaurants. There are many high quality places to wine and dine in Newmarket and there is a Newmarket Horse Racing Museum that displays information about the history of the town and its horse racing connections. Houses for rent in Newmarket are perfect for people who enjoy the outdoors as the local countryside is full of enjoyable paths and places to camp.
