The town of Rushden is in Northamptonshire and is a civil parish that covers an area of 3777 acres. Almost 30,000 residents live in Rushden and many home owners in Rushden take advantage of its nice location and surrounding areas. Both Bedford and Kettering are nearby and the A6 road serves the area. The River Nene flows through the north of the town and it sits in a valley that is home to a brook that also flows into the town called Sidney Brook. The oldest toyshop in the UK is in Rushden and there are many other shops located in the heart if the town with more found in nearby places like Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton. Police drama Hunters Walk was filmed in Rushden in the 1970s and the town’s history is based around a mixture of framing and shoe making. The railway is now closed and it has been turned into a real ale pub and a museum.
