Wellingborough is a Northamptonshire based town that is home to an impressive 75,000 residents. The River Nene flows to the north of the town and the older part of Wellingborough is situated above the flood plains on the surrounding hills. The towns origins date far back into the 6th century when it was well known as Wendelburie and gained its market town status in the 12th century.
