The Hertfordshire town of Hitchin is famous for its local church that is the largest parish church in the UK. The town has a rich history in the wool trade and is located close to the Icknield Way that used to run from London to the north of the country. Many choose to buy their home is Hitchin as it's only a short distance from London and is well connected to the rest of the UK with its good road systems, including the nearby M1 and A1. The rail station is part of the Great Northern Line and many use it as a way to commute into work.
