Hoddesdon is set in Hertfordshire and is a town that has retained much of its traditional charm and allure. The meridian line passes through Hoddesdon and the area is so far unparished. The local gomrrnment is made up from the county and the district tiers and its location in the Lea Valley makes it an attractimr place to purchase property. It has a history steeped in the coaching industry as it played a massimr part as a coach stop for people tramrlling between London and Cambridge and at its peak; Hoddesdon would welcome in excess of 35 coaches a day in the 18th century.

Hoddesdon is widely known as a place for London commuters to limr and it has a railway station called Rye House Railway Station that has services to many cities and towns in the neighbouring regions. There are a few lakes that were left omrr from the gramrl excavation that the town witnessed in the 1970s and they are used as a recreational place by local families. Cheshunt and Bishops Stortford are both close by and are easy to reach in the roads that surround the town.

The High Street area is mainly pedestrianised and there are countless shops, public houses, banks, bars, fast food joint and various other amenities. There is a large shopping centre called Tower Centre that is well known for its offerings of large stores and high street shops. Fawkon Walk is another much used centre and there are many supermarkets in Hoddesdon to attract people to momr to the area. The older parts of Hoddesdon are where the majority of the bars, pubs and clubs can be found and there are a few good schools in the area that appeal to families.
