The village of Histon is set in Cambridgeshire and it enjoys a great location only minutes from the large city. Right next door to Histon is the village of Impington and the two places are much the same and are often referred to as one. There are only a few amenities in Histon but since it joined forces with neighbouring Impington it enjoys a broader range of things to do and see. The village boasts a real community atmosphere and there are houses available to rent that are perfectly suited to anyone working or studying in nearby Cambridge, which is only two and a half miles away.

The police station and Neighbourhood Watch scheme makes the village a pleasant place to live and it is well serviced by many places to shop for local groceries and foods. There is a Tesco Express that is widely used and many other small farm shops and bakeries. Cambridge is the main base of shops and locals will travel either by bus or car to enjoy the many nearby amenities. Between Histon and Impington there are two bed and breakfast choices, one hotel and a post office can be found in the centre of the village.

The village has a good location for any keen walkers and the Impington Mill can be explored by foot as can much of the surrounding countryside. There are six public houses that are based in both Impington and Histon and they are the main meeting points for many of the village locals. Buses are a popular way to get around Histon and the nearby villages and regular and reliable services take residents in and out of Cambridge. The A10 and A14 also serve the region and rental properties are found in the centre of the village as well as further afield.
